Interview report on Mr. Ming-huang Shih [Yu-han Lou].

       Joy & Hope Wheat have experienced a total of 16 years from 1999 to today, in Mr. Ming-huang Shih’s opinion, cooperation is the real subject. At present the work partners in Joy & Hope Wheat are mostly friends restricted both in body and mind, as long as you can concentrate focus on one thing and everyone is able to do his/her own job well, we can do a bigger thing well.
The director himself was professional in enterprise management and factory management who didn’t have the knowledge of growing wheat, so he made the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for wheat related knowledge by enquiring about it through farmers and farms. The SOP was carried out in one hectare since 2007.

    Only four members of Joy & Hope Wheat had accepted complete education, the other members were from the nearby village that limited in body or mind. Therefore, the first problem encountered at present was the talents, now we are badly in need of talents that could give an overall consideration and think comprehensive joining us, which will make the development way of Joy & Hope Wheat much broader. The second problem was financial issues, for the agricultural products were paid in cash, so the cash flow was big, but if change wheat into commodity, then converted goods selling into cash and back into the Joy again & Hope Wheat, the financial operations should be very careful.

    Now the enterprise vision of Joy & Hope Wheat is to localize the village and turn it into an industrial economy. Make the wheat into a lot of food through the process of contract growing and sell to the customers. We also hope that the wheat growing pass the organic certification this year, and then enhance the wheat’s value.
