We went to Erlin Township’s office of Joy & Hope Wheat Workshop on February 6, 2015, Mr. Shih provided us with brief introduction of Joy & Hope Wheat Workshop, and made us know more about wheat, Joy & Hope Wheat Workshop was established in 1999, began to grow wheat in 2007 and stable plant in 2011, and covered an cultivated area of 500 hectares with production of 200 tons up to now. We got a better understanding of Joy & Hope Wheat Workshop through the process of visit.

    Joy & Hope Wheat Workshop have experienced a total of 16 years from 1999 to today, in Mr. Ming-huang Shih’s opinion, cooperation was the real subject. At present the work partners in Joy & Hope Wheat Workshop are mostly friends restricted both in body and mind, as long as you could concentrate focus on one thing and everyone was able to do his/her own job well, we can do a bigger thing well.

    Machines in the Joy & Hope Workshop Wheat Milling Plant: turn the wheat into flour, the production process including casting wheat/carefully chosen/wheat wetting/milling/inspection/flour blending/packing finished products of wheat, for example: Joy & Hope flour, noodle, seasoned millet mush..., etc. They stood firm to achieve the process one by one and promote housing estate industrial economy.

   Surrounded by wheat fields, with full solar panels on roof top, this was Joy & Hope Bakery, such a small place which was humble and once made us lost, but full of fragrance of flour, enthusiasm of baker, a hearty burst of laughter and detailed introduction from Mr. Shih who was the President and also fellow workmate.

   In wheat mature season, it is poetic that the endless stretches of wheat with full golden wheat dancing with wind and rises one after another. This beautiful picture just leaped to my eyes - Dacheng Township Wheat Field.

       On February 6, 2015, a group of senior high school students who were not very understanding of Dacheng wheat went to home of Mr. Chi-sheng Liu (the monitor of Dacheng Wheat’s Production and Marketing Group) for the first time. His introduction of wheat was unequivocal without omission and full of sense of humor! We were all excited but not nervous in this interview again!

       Because Dong Nan Joy & Hope Wheat Team wanted to know the feelings of Mr. Ming-ku Wei toward Dacheng wheat, at 2 p.m., February 17th, we went to Changhua County Government to visit him. When we caught sight of him, everyone was ready to listen to what he said carefully with breathless interest.

       In every student’s introduction, there is after thoughts and gains about this “To do one thing for Taiwan’s Agricultural-Joy & Hope Wheat” research. They will share what they’ve learned with us.
