Mr.Hung-en Chang, the Secretary-General |
Yi-ting Liu |
Mr. Hung-en Chang is very humorous. His sincere answers to our
questions brought us a lot of help. We can see his knowledge of his job
and dedication towards CCNDA. |
Ruei-luen Lien |
Mr. Chang is the main driving force behind CCNDA. He said, “Only
to provide them with what they need is a true help.” I agree with Mr.
Chang. We should take the initiative to help people who need help. |
Che-hung Liu |
Mr. Chang encouraged us to find what the disadvantaged people
really need. I agree. If we don’t even know what they need, how could
we help them? |
Po-hsiang Hu |
Mr. Chang kindly told us many details. He was very nice
and to us and told us what the teachers of CCNDA insist, which gives us
more confidence in the later interviews. |
Yu-ta LU |
Mr. Chang challenged us with questions that made us think. He
also told us the origin of CCNDA and took us to visit HHDC. We were
surprised that the large front door used to be a small door. The
interview was very interesting and taught me a lot. |
Chia-en Chen |
Mr. Chang is a nice person. During the interview, he not only
didn’t give us pressure but also interacted and played games with us.
He often smiled and answered our questions humorously. The interview
was very successful, and I hope the next interview can be as successful
as this one. |
Ping Jun- Lai |
Mr. Chang always smiled. People think he is like a movie director
who is a very important leader, but he said he was only to help
supervise the work. He thinks the afterschool tutoring program is to
provide companionship to middle and elementary school children but the
afterschool daycare program is only to give parents peace of mind. He
believes companionship is the maximum power of happiness to children. |
Chia-wei Lin |
It’s incredible that some kids who didn’t like to
study nor had good interpersonal relationship have such big improvement after
the volunteers’ long-term companionship. They were afraid of interacting with
others, but now their interpersonal relationships are getting better and their
academic results also got big improvement. Companionship can bring power that
helps children progress and grow unknowingly.
|
De-yang Wu |
Mr. Chang is very important to CCNDA’s operation. He introduced
the overall operation of CCNDA to us, which gives us a better
understanding of the crew and equipment required for an association. I
also learned the problems an association may encounter as well as the
purpose of CCNDA. I think the important people of an association should
know all information of the association in order to work efficiently. |
Bo-han Lin |
Mr. Chang introduced the environment of CCNDA to us. They have
insect boxes so we observed the life of crickets. I feel it’s magical. |
Ya-fen Wu, the Director of Meals Affairs Division |
Yi-ting Liu |
I feel Ms. Ya-fen Wu is very humorous. She gave interesting
answers, and even told us that she had set up a hidden camera in CCNDA
in case the kids would deny the wrongdoings. |
Ruei-luen Lien |
I feel Ms. Wu is very smart because she knows how to make yucky
food yummy. She is an optimistic, cheerful, and warm person. She likes
children, and even makes meals with them, which makes CCNDA a happy
place. I hope her joy can infect everyone and encourage everyone to try
his or her best. |
Che-hung Liu |
In the interview, I was impressed by how Ms. Wu made those little
picky eaters like the food they used to hate, and I learned we could
complete any impossible mission as long as we pay attention to it. It
was quite fun interviewing Ms. Wu. |
Po-hsiang Hu |
Ms. Wu is very cheerful. She is kind to children and likes to
chat, joke, and teach children how to make dishes. She is a very
important person of HHDC, but she is very kind to us. She always
prepared snacks for us every time before we left HHDC. |
Yu-ta LU |
As the Director of the Meals Affairs Division, she does
everything, such as buying groceries, washing vegetables, cooking, and
encouraging kids to eat food. I admire her that she is able to make
kids eat the yucky food such as eggplant and bitter melon. |
Chia-en Chen |
She thinks it is her pleasure being able to help others,
including teaching children how to take responsibilities. She carefully
plans the budget of every single meal. We should follow her on helping
others. |
Ping Jun- Lai |
The Director of the Meals Affairs Division is the
combination of the Director of the General Affairs Division and the
kitchen worker. When she cooks, if any children don’t do their
homework, she makes them do their homework in the kitchen. Ms. Wu
always buys a lot of groceries because she has to prepare food for the
entire CCNDA, which is not an easy job! I guess the pots and ladles she
uses to cook are the extra-large size and she must have extraordinary
arm strength! |
Chia-wei Lin |
Being the Director of the Meals Affairs Division, she not only
knows how to make deserts but also how to shop. Besides, she often
needs to repair things because of so many children here. Therefore, she
teaches the children that everything in CCNDA is a blessing, so they
shouldn’t waste anything. |
De-yang Wu |
Ms. Wu cooks a wide variety of cuisines in the kitchen .Sometimes
she brings children to the kitchen to help her make dishes. I can tell
she loves the challenging work of the kitchen here, such as cooking,
planning food budget, and thinking how to buy the best ingredients at
the lowest cost. |
Bo-han Lin |
The most incredible to me is that she has helped many people who
didn’t like vegetables to accept eating vegetables. I really admire her
for vegetables are really important to the health. |
Ms.I-Hsuan Li, the Executive Secretary |
Yi-ting Liu |
I feel Ms. Li is a serious, responsible, and thankful person.
It’s her part-time job working in CCNDA. For her age, being a part-time
worker and a student is not easy. |
Ruei-luen Lien |
Ms. Li grew up in CCNDA. CCNDA helped her a lot, so she works in
CCNDA in order to help more kids who need help. I think she has good
thoughts. She is very optimistic and willing to help others, which
brings warmth to the society. |
Che-hung Liu |
In the interview, she mentioned a map contest in our school
before. She was the only one completing the map. It’s not easy. She
grew up in CCNDA, so she wants to help other kids who need help now.
She is great! |
Po-hsiang Hu |
Ms. Li, after the interview, told us her volunteer experience
and why she engages in this job. She was very nice to us. We really
hope to take her life education class and become her students. |
Yu-ta LU |
Ms. Li is our school alumni. She described her life
experience and her title and responsibilities in CCNDA in detail. I
learned a lot from her. |
Chia-en Chen |
Ms. Li said she had to do everything as an Executive Secretary.
She started as a volunteer and now she gets paid. During these ten
years, she has helped many children. We should follow her example to
help the people in need so that the society will become better. |
Ping Jun- Lai |
Ms. Li is the youngest volunteer in CCNDA. She went to Changan
Elementary School too. She is a program manager but her title is
Executive Secretary. She is kind and calm, and with positive attitude.
She thinks her job is fun and makes her happy and creative, so she
never wastes time but works hard for what she insists. |
Chia-wei Lin |
Ms. Li said she would continue to work here even if she gets no
pay. I think it’s a great thought because her purpose working here is
not for wages but for helping others. |
De-yang Wu |
The responsibilities of Executive Secretary involve a lot. Ms.
Li, starting as a volunteer, consistently works hard and now she can
efficiently plan and arrange CCNDA’s operation. I learned that we
should never give up but consistently work hard from the interview. |
Bo-han Lin |
I heard that Ms. Li does everything as an Executive Secretary.
She is mainly responsible for managing programs. Through the interview,
I learned that everything would be solved as long as we work
optimistically from her. |
Ms.Mei-lien Shih, the Accountant |
Yi-ting Liu |
I feel Ms. Shih is very gentle and careful. She is retired and
now is a volunteer of CCNDA. When I retire, I would stay home to enjoy
my life. |
Ruei-luen Lien |
Ms. Shih became a volunteer of CCNDA because her sister
worked here. Since CCNDA is short of workers, she continues to
volunteer here even though she is old. After the interview, I feel her
loving heart for the disadvantaged people is our good example. I also
need to learn how to manage money to avoid excessive waste of money. |
Che-hung Liu |
Ms. Shih said an accountant doesn’t need to be good at math in
order to easily do the job. Since she has right thought as well as a
loving heart, she is willing to give without regret. |
Po-hsiang Hu |
Ms. Shih is the main power of CCNDA. She needs to manage
money, including donation and CCNDA’s expenses. I think it’s not an
easy job because she needs to manage accounting as well as taking care
of the children. |
Yu-ta LU |
Ms. Shih is responsible for managing CCNDA’s income and
expenditure. I feel her work is related to Executive Secretary Ms.
I-hsuan Li’s work. Ms. Li writes plans for funding, and Accountant Ms.
Shih manages budget. I hope they work together happily. |
Chia-en Chen |
Ms. Shih said she was willing to do the work even though her
math wasn’t good. CCNDA doesn’t have much funding, or sometimes even
short of funding, but people are willing to donate money to help the
association. We should learn their spirit. |
Ping Jun- Lai |
The association’s financial management is more complicated than
the personal or family’s financial management. Starting from
bookkeeping, we can eventually become financial expert. To the
association, good financial management makes the operation more
smoothly. |
Chia-wei Lin |
CCNDA’s funds came from donation in the beginning. Later, it
started to apply for other supplements. Therefore, it’s necessary to
well utilize the limited resources. Everyone needs to use money
properly to make sure each cent is well utilized.
|
De-yang Wu |
Ms. Shih said financial management is a fun job. I think it is
fun but there must be a lot of difficulties. In the interview, we
talked about the sources for holding community activities and CCNDA’s
budget plan. We learned the operation of CCNDA involves money,
happiness, and thankfulness. |
Bo-han Lin |
I think financial management is very easy to her but very
difficult to me. Financial management involves math. Although it’s
difficult, I am glad to interview Ms. Shih. |
