About CCNDA>Research Motives

In recent years, Taiwan’s aging population and declining birthrate are getting worse. Also, economic inequality has caused lots of families dysfunctional. These issues have affected children’s education. The Department of Education, Taipei City Government categorizes disadvantaged students into six groups: aborigines, recent immigrants’ children, single-parent family’s children, low-income family’s children, mentally or physically handicapped students, and recent immigrants’ children. Most disadvantaged students are from disadvantaged families. It is more difficult for them than general students to learn or adapt to life (Tan and Wu, 2009).

When we heard these people’s problems, we also wanted to help. Therefore, we started to research on CCNDA.

We’d like to see what social welfare organizations do in order to find what we could do or how to interact with the people who need help through the Cyberfair project. We believe the society will become better as long as we work together.
