After the interviews, let us listen to what CCNDA children said.
Interview for student T:
1.How long have you been in the church? Why did you go to church?
It has been 2 years. The teacher in our class recommended me to go.
2.How do you usually go to church? What time do you go to church? What do you do in the church? Can you roughly give us an idea about their schedule?
I usually take bus or Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) to go to church. We eat snack at 4 pm, and then start to do homework. If I have question, I can ask the teacher. After finishing dinner, we clean floor, wash dishes and clean toilet. I feel that we need to pay something for coming here.
3.How many times do you go to church every week? Do you eat dinner at church?
I go to church 5 times a week. I go to church on Saturday and Sunday if there are activities. These activities are free. We normally eat dinner and snack at church, and eat lunch too on Wednesday. We pay NT$500 for meal, and I feel that it is very cheap, since CCNDA provide much more than that.
4.Who is your teacher at church? How do the teachers, social volunteers and administrative staffs treat you?
Teacher Wen-li Lien. All of them treat me very well. They are very kind, and we usually have great chats. The social worker Ms. Yu-mei Kao cares about my family condition very often. Talking to them helps me relax my mood, and I could tell them my worries.
5.How is your academic work at school? If the teacher does not help you, can you still maintain your current grade?
I normally finish my homework and start to study and review schoolwork. I cannot maintain current grade without teacher’s help. I was top 5 or 6 in previous mid-term.
6.What kind of help does the church provide to you? What would you like to say to them?
The church accompanies us to grow. We will come back here when we enter the middle school too. After in high school, most of us will become volunteer teachers. I appreciate their help very much, since they care about me.
Interview for student W:
1.How long have you been to church? Do you know why you go to church?
About 1 and half years or so.  I go to church since my parents all work until very late. There is nobody home, if I have question about homework, nobody can help me, so I came to HHDC.
2.How do you usually go to church? What time do you go to church? What do you do in the church? Can you roughly give us an idea about their schedule?
I go to HHDC after school from Monday to Friday, and go home until 7 or 8 o’clock. My dad would come to pick me up. My schedule at HHDC is very similar to the one at school such as snack time, doing homework, and cleaning.
3.How do you feel the teacher, social worker and administrative staffs of the church treat you?
I feel that the teachers here treat me very well. Also, every teacher owns different specialty, so no matter what kind of question I have, someone would be able to help me.
4.Do you like to go to church? Why?
Yes. I can make many good friends over there. Also, there are different ages of students in the church, so I was able to know some middle school students. When I have question in my schoolwork, I can ask them besides the teachers at HHDC.
5.Do your classmates know that you go to church? What are their responses? How do you feel about their responses? Do you mind other people’s view?
Only few of my good friends in the class know that. They do not have any special response or thinking. They would not treat this differently, and I do not mind either. I normally do not care what other people think. I believe that everyone has his own merit and characteristics, so I just want to be myself happily.
6.What help do you feel HHDC provide to you? Can you talk about some activities in the association that impress you? Do you like to participate in these activities?
It helps me in schoolwork and interpersonal relationship. The course on Saturday is called Joyful Character School. It has many activities. Our current topic is diet and animal. Some people from outside of campus would come and help in this activity, so we could contact different people, things, and objects. Therefore I like this activity very much.
7.What kind of help does the church provide to you? What would you like to say to them?
I would like to thank all people in CCNDA who have accompanied and taught me. They are like my parents, and help me grow.
8.What is your goal for the future? What would you like to do in the future?
I hope I can be a chef, like Ms. Ya-fan Wu, to cook for other children. Also, I feel the dishes Ms. Wu cooks have the taste of mom. I hope that I can carry on this love to help the others. I was helped before, so I hope I will be able to help the others to feedback to the society.

1.How long have you been to church? Do you know why you go to church?
It has been 6 years. In the beginning, Teacher Fang-jui Hsu of Changan Elementary School recommended me to go to the church. My family has some financial problems, so CCNDA would help us especially. I know my family’s financial condition very well. I do not feel too bad, and would face it healthily.
2.How do you usually go to church? What time do you go to church? What do you do in the church? Can you roughly give us an idea about their schedule?
I used to go to church at around 4 pm when I was a lower grader. Now I joined the track and field team, so I go to church at around 6 pm and do my homework over there. Students who need tutoring can stay up to 11 pm. All I do at HHDC including doing homework, eating dinner, and writing evaluation. We would also clean up HHDC at our leisure time, so that we can have a more comfortable space.
3.Do you go home alone or does your family come to pick you up after HHDC? How do you like the dinner at church?
I go home at 10 the latest. My parents would come to pick me up at church. We all eat our dinner at HHDC. All foods Ms. Ya-fen Wu cooks are healthy foods including vegetable, meat, rice and soup. It is very rich. Sometimes some good persons from outside would donate resource to HHDC. I feel the meal is a big blessing.
4.How do you feel the teacher, social worker, and administrative staffs at church treat you? Have you ever had any conflict with the teachers?
They all treat me very well. They provide us stationery we need. The teach print out evaluation form for us to fill up evaluation. When we need to enhance in English, there are teacher who is good at this field to teach us. Sometimes we do not want to do our homework when we go to church, then the responsible teacher would punish us.

I like it. HHDC is like a big family, so I feel very warm. The activities they hold are very fun, and are not boring at all.
6.Do your classmates know that you go to church? What are their responses? How do you feel about their responses? Do you mind other people’s view?
Some classmates know this. I told them I go to church, since I am a Christian. They said nothing about this. They easily face this and do not discriminate this, or show me any special expression or language. About what I feel, I feel it is OK.
7.What are the most impressive activities in CCNDA to you? Do you like to participate in these activities?
The most impressive activity to me is the good posture etiquette camp. The camp requires upright sitting position and western meal etiquette. They prepared lunch and snack, and we cannot eat without sitting upright. Since that was a buffet, so I feel it was rare.
