Service idea and association condition
1.Have you participated in volunteer service training?
YesNo
Less than half of the volunteers in this questionnaire have ever participated in the training. This needs to be improved.
2.What are your average service hours per week?
Less than 1 hour     1 to 2 hours    2 to 4 hours    4 to 8 hours  Over 8 hours Occasionally
Most people serve more than 8 hours per week. Since the volunteers in CCNDA are for either long-term or short-term service, the number was especially high.
3.What brings you to be a volunteer?(Multiple choices)
Introduced by a member of community school    Introduced by family  or relatives    Introduced by friends   Influenced by newspaper or magazine
   Influenced by TV or internet
Usually, volunteers came to CCNDA because of the influence of others. None of them came because of the influence of newspapers or TV. They became volunteers since they wanted to do something meaningful.
4.Do you agree that you can learn different social experience from volunteer work?
Very agree    Agree    Not always    Disagree    Very disagree
Most of the volunteers agreed that volunteer service helps them gain different social experiences. Only one volunteer answered “Not always”, and we guessed that he thought volunteer service is only for helping children.
5.What is your major motivation of being a volunteer?
Help the others    Contribute your ability    Increase chances to make friends    Help self-growth    Community self-identity
Many of them became volunteers due to their servicing spirit from deep of their heart, since they wanted to experience the happiness of helping people and the joyful smile returned by people they helped. The community identification did not trigger this. Also, contributing their abilities, increasing chances to make friends, and helping self-growth are the motivation for many people too.
All volunteers feel that even though a volunteer contribute to the society without asking for return, he can earn many things, especially the happiness of helping people during the procedure.
6.What are the most needed resources for CCNDA at this moment?
Volunteer manpower    Donation for expenditure    Administrative manpower    Propaganda by media Increasing equipment and facility Idea identification and support
