    Tea Ceremony Spirit

Tea ceremony originated from China.  During Tang Dynasty, the Chinese had taken drinking as a self-cultivation.  It is the first case around the world.  Taiwanese tea ceremony developed its own tea brewing and skills.  About late 1970s, tea ceremony of East Asia was for tea-tasting and later developed its unique tea ritual. The effect of Gongfu tea, interior arrangement, Zen culture of Japanese tea ceremony has created Taiwanese humanism. It also means the spirit of Taiwan’s multi-culture.

    Tea Ceremony History

Gongfu tea’s small pot brewing originated from Chaozhou, Guangdong. That’s where Taiwan tea art comes from.  After Gongfu tea was introduced to Taiwan, from 1980s, tea lovers, tea institutes, and teahouses, researched, developed, and practiced tea ceremony.  It created its own ritual and system when immersing in Chinese aesthetics, Buddhism, Zen, Japanese tea ceremony, and Taiwan’s life atmosphere.
