Organic Tea
Recently, with the rise of awareness of
environmental protection, Taiwan’s tea industries have engaged
in natural farming and organic cultivation. Natural farming is
to maintain health of soil and produce safe and good quality of
products. Teas, fertilized with chemicals, are brisk, bitter
and astringent in taste when brewing too long. With natural
farming, teas bitten by insects create natural fragrance.
During the fermentation, teas, with rich pectin, release honey
flavor, and taste smooth.
The eco-engineering of organic farming can be
divided into the followings:
1.To prevent pests, farmers
follow the method of natural production. That is, farmers won’t use
chemical, and won’t pollute water resources, soil and ecosystem.
2.With Cultivation
techniques, farmers try to use more green manure and livestock
wastes which are non-polluted organic composts.
3.Farmers use ecological
principles to prevent pests and weeds like Synergetic crops and
natural enemies.
4.Air, soil and water
resource are tested no pollution.
