Wenshan
District is located south of Taipei Basin, adjacent to Shenkeng
township to the east and faces Xindian, Zhonghe and Yonghe city
to the west. Because of fist-shaped mountains, Wenshan was
originally named Fist Mountain during the reign of Emperor
Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty. However, In 1894, it changed the
vulgar name to the elegant one “Fort Wenshan”.
