Q: Do you have any other job except for being a counseling
volunteer? Is there any conflict in between?
I am a housewife, so I go to school as a counseling volunteer when my children go to school. As for the other time, I stay home with my family. Q: Why do you want to be a counseling volunteer? What ability does it require to be a counseling volunteer? My friend living in the same community is the counseling volunteer in the school. She warmly invited me to join the counseling volunteers’ team. More than three years have glided past. Neither interview nor any special requirement, but the willing to join is needed to be a counseling volunteer. Q: We have watched the group counseling classes. Have you ever taken a course for the children in special need except for taking courses in a class? What is the course if you have? Were you nervous in the presence of the counseling teacher? At present, 1 to 1 accompany is offered to students to attend small-group counseling classes. So, a small-group counseling volunteer only accompanies a student at one time instead of being on stage to lead the course. But I will encourage the student I accompany to participate in the activities. I also chat with the student if there’s more time. Q: What do you think is the children’s feeling after taking your class? Do they like or dislike it? I can only mention the girl I accompany. She has been very happy to see me. The small-group counseling course begins at 8:00 am after the cleaning time. She often comes for the class earlier and waits by the door. Q: What would you do when you face disobedient children in the class? I haven’t met such kind of situation, but it is suggested in the growth coursed to remind this kind of children when the condition is minor and take them to the side of the classroom and talk to them if the condition turns worse. It’s important not to disturb the other students in the class. Q: Have you ever had the thought to give up the volunteer work? What is the reason if you have? So far I don’t this idea because I think to be a volunteer can help children in need. Q: We know there are some growth courses for the counseling volunteers. Do you think these courses are of any help to you? There are many different growth courses. I think I learned to listen to other peoples' ideas, help and support each other. Here is the place where I let out the innermost garbage and pressure and get the positive energy from the others. Q: Is there anything very impressive to you during the period as a counseling volunteer? A sending-card activity is arranged before the end of the small group courses every semester. On each card, the care and reminding of a counseling volunteer are fully written. When the volunteers read these cards, you can feel what they have given to these children. Last time when you were here to observe the moment, we were very touched when the children asked when the class could begin again. physical attacks on other students. I immediately cried down at him. But the teacher reminded me that this might hurt the boy. Then I began to adjust the way to deal with the condition. Once I came across a student who was very moody made There was once a boy who was greeting me warmly in each class and shared with me what he thought. He might think that I was a person whom he can trust. All these things make me continue staying in this team and help more children. |
