However, this kind of exaggerated performance is nothing else but for a theatrical tension. Chief prison warden Lin Zhenghong mentioned that this is a job of patience and compassion, and chief prison warden plays a role as the"human-nature engineer".

Chief prison warden Lin is a natural born leader, who earns respect with no need showing threat. Shortly after graduated from Police University, he passed the policeman qualification test, and starts his police career, which includes intern, prison lecturer, secretary, vice-chief, and chief officer

Speaking of the coming prison museum, Lin affirmatively guaranteed will be done as promised. Regarding its functions, he wishes this museum will be a place not only for exhibitions, but also for researches. Its contents will be comparable to other places, at home or aboard, and will even be more comprehensive. Regular attractions such as jail experience tours and on-site exhibitions will help promoting law education, community concept, and sightseeing. Business opportunities will be created, and job openings will increase. The difficulties, however, should not be overlooked. A lot of documents and materials would be lost when old jails abandoned and relocated to new places. This deserted jail in ChiaYi is the only one perfectly preserved.
Lin promises that the restoration will certainly complete in 2011. However, forming a prison museum needs verification and will be difficult to set up time table.

At the end of visit, immediately after we stepped out of the once heavily guarded Lu-Cao jail, the gate was shut behind, heavy and loud. It was the boundary between freedom and constraint. Many people were locked behind this wall and deprived a happy life simply because of a mistaken thought. No wonder Lin sincerely said:"if a life sentence costs a man ten years in the jail, I have spent several life sentences here now." Who knows how many young lives were locked forever behind this gate.……
