Research methodology

（picture source：photo by this team）　　The method we adopt is to interview the staff who worked for Old Chiayi Prison, the architect who is in charge of the renovation and the Chiayi City Humanity Association which is devoted to reservation of historical culture. We collect the data and join the prison camp to experience the life in the prison.

　　In order to study more about the history of Old Chiayi Prison, our team visited the staff to realize the differences between the old prison and the one at present. We also know a lot about the daily life of the inmates from the instructor so that we can change people's mechanical impression of the prison.

（picture source：photo by this team） 　　Information collecting is the basic method for our research. There are many ways to obtain information. The technology nowadays is advancing with time. The Internet not only broadens the range of our research but also helps us get the information from the history efficiently.

　　To experience the life of the inmates, our team knew the activity of prison camp from the Internet. We called the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Chiayi City Government to acquire the time for this activity. Luckily, we spent one day in the prison and stayed in the places where the inmates live, work and the area where they join activities.
