The master of health resides on the West market. For 60 years now, the same antique plaque with its elegant inscription, has hung at the store’s entrance. Founded by Mr. Tu’s father, Long An Temple has had an excellent reputation for its Chinese medicine practices ever since.

At a young age, Mr. Tu took over his father’s store, and he acquired a great deal of skills. Whether it is writing prescriptions or taking pulse, he has developed a unique philosophy in health.

Most of the raw materials for Chinese medicine in Taiwan originates from Mainland China. The costs for these have been soaring, while sales are decreasing. But the owner refuses to introduce unfamiliar herbs to increase profits. He encourages his children and grandchildren to find their own path under the sky. The Longan Temple store will not be handed down to the next generation.
