There are two famous Bawan shops in Douliu which are both not far from the market. Most people recommend Wu’s Bawan so we decided to go there first.

Only locals know about this delicious food. Many customers will only go to this shop to eat Bawan. A Bawan is a soft dough filled with savory stuffing and served with sweet and savory sauces. The stuffing normally consists of pork, bamboo shoots and mushrooms. Two Bawans cost only 50 dollars at Wu’s shop. When we arrived, there was already a long line outside the shop. Many people continued to come even after we finished our food.
