Half-moon shaped pool

Half-moon shaped pool is also called Panchi pool.

In ancient times, the academy recruited students. The teachers led the students walking around the pool three times. If the students picked up three slices of celery, they could be recruited and planted celery next to the pool. The academy advocates hard work and study.

If someone passed the provincial civil service examination, a lantern bamboo bridge would be placed in the Panchi pool, and the teacher would take the student across the lantern bridge to Wen Shrine to worship Wen-Chang Emperor.

Main hall

After the fire in 1975, it was not rebuilt until 1980s. After the reconstruction, there were still no statues because no management was implemented. For fear of that cultural relics would be stolen, they were temporarily placed in Wu Temple. Until 2007, Wen-Chang Emperor and other statues were re-carved at the expense of the Tipo Education Foundation, and volunteers were recruited to manage them. Wen-Chang Emperor and other god statues Judge Wen, Cangjie, Kuixing were returned to Wen Shrine's main hall.

Wen Shrine is a place for many students or candidates taking civil service exams or other exams to pray Wen-Chang Emperor and other gods for passing exams, and also to pray Judge Wen to for recording their name in his book.
