Maltose
Added pigment and additives, lots of candies of look delicious but are harmful to our health. Let’s go to Lukang Old Stree to taste the traditional maltose. The clear yellowish maltose can bring back our childhood memory. It’s neither sticky nor too sweet. It won’t stick to your teeth but will stick to your heart. I really love its sweet tast.
(Figure 1) Wandering in Lukang Old Street in a hot summer day, we enjoyed historic sites, as we tasted the cold maltose. With both enjoyments, you won’t want to leave!
The maltose is made into various cartoon figures with the mold presser. Customers may choose a cartoon figure and decide to let which part of the figure disappear first. It is really fun.
(Figure 2) We thought the maltose would be too sweet for us, but it wasn’t. Actually we wanted to taste more.
(Figure 3) There are many flovors of maltose to choose from. The color of maltose tells its flavor.
Postscript
We are thankful for the owner’s warm reception. She patiently told us the related knowledge as she was serving customers during the busiest time. The spirit of sharing could be the most attractive quality of the stores in Lukang!
