Toy Expert
You don’t want to miss the “childhood memory” trip. Once you get into the store, you’ll feel like you are taking a time machine to travel back to 20 years ago. The store is full of old-fashioned toys and daily necessities of Taiwan.
(Figure 1)We took a picture with a model taller than ourselves in the store. It’s a memory for most of adults.
(Figure 2)The owner painted this painting. The orange sunray falling over the bike looks quaint like the Lukang Old Street.
(Figure 3)This is one of the owner’s collections. The beautiful carved windows are a feature of old houses (see Figure 3). Unfortunately too many businessmen want to destroy them for making money. Lukang Old Street needs our care so that it can last forever.
Postscript
Seeing so many things from my parents’ childhood makes me feel exciting. Even though I wasn’t there, I can tell how prosperous those days were from the collections. If you have forgotten your childhood, come to the store to chat with the storeowner or take a look at the neatly displayed toys!
