Geographical Environment
Located in the midpoint of west coast and northwestern corner of Changhua County, Lukang was an ideal place for the ancient people, who made a living by fishing or 1farming, to start settling in Taiwan due to its excellent geographical environment.
Lukang, belonging to the Choshuihsi Plain, has a flat terrain with an elevation of 10 meters or less. Its terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest, and its rivers mostly flow from southeast to northwest into the sea.
