Gluttonous Area sounds odd, but it is an area inside a small market in front of the temple, which collect various vendors and variety shows for gluttonous people. Are you curious now for this Gluttonous Area?
Super bang big eaters
It locates at the square in front of the Town God’s Temple. There are many snack vendors on the square. The Town God is one of the very important folk beliefs. The temple is the last customs pass in this world and is the first infernal customs pass. Dead souls must check in at the temple.

There were many workers in early Lukang. They would go to the square to eat after work (see Figure1). They ate a lot very fast, and did not care their own body images. They always ate like a group of gluttonous people, so this area was called the gluttonous area later.

This area was cleaned up as a tourist recreational area. There are street artists performing on holidays. Also, the Cultural Tea House (see Figure 2) in Gui-hua Alley in front of Gluttonous Area offers cool and refreshing plum syrup cooked by ancient recipe.
