(Figure 1) There was a cypress wood shop in Lukang Old Street. Stepping into the shop, we not only smelt the scent of cypress but also enjoyed many works made of cypress. The owner was very friendly. She patiently made introduction and answered our questions. After her explanation, I felt I got familiar with cypress.

(Figure 2) The corks in our hands are made of cypress. They have a slight scent that made me feel great! I heard the scent could calm us down since it contains phytoncide. The scent of cypress keeps insects away, so it can be used for repelling mosquitos.
