Surfing Questionnaire Investigation |
In order to increase the amount of sample, we posted questionnaire on social networks, after three weeks, we collected total one hundred and sixty three feedback, and there were one hundred fifty eight valid results, and 5 invalid results which were done by our members. After collection, teacher taught us how to utilize Excel to change data into cartograms. The following is our results of investigation: |
Basic information: |
After the collection of 158 samples, we analyzed the basic information of testers. First, the ratio of male to female is nearly equal, fifty-fifty (Figure 1); the age of highest amount of testers is age 21 to 30, then the age of 31 to 40, following the age below 20, and the less one, the age of 41 to 50 (Figure 2). The ratio of age below 40 is 89%. We posted the questionnaire link on social network may lead to most of the testers are the millennials; most testers are from Taitung, occupying 58 %, from others county is 41 %, and only 1 % is foreign. |

The result about traveling to Donghe: |
In the question about traveling to Donghe, near 97 % testers have been in Donghe (Figure 4), and 62 % of testers have been in Donghe within three months (Figure 5), it may due to the most testers live in Taitung. Most of testers chose bus to visit Donghe (Figure 6), and they may stay for two days in here mostly (Figure7). Testers would like to visit Donghe for view of landscapes and delicious foods (Figure 8). They plan to cost about three thousands for traveling, it occupied 83 % of testers (Figure 9), and they want to take the money for eating, living, souvenir, and surfing in the order of percentages (Figure 10). Almost all testers like Donghe (Figure 11), and 98 % of testers are willing to visit here again (Figure 12). Finally, the most spot they like to visit are having cup of coffee in Jinzun, seeing the sea (63 people), seeing the Old East River Bridge (56 people), and joining the harvest festival of Amis (figure 13). |

The aspiration about visiting Donghe: |
In the part of aspiration about visiting, most of testers are willing to cost 1000-3000 dollar in surfing activities (Figure 14), and would stay for 2-3 days (Figure 15). Referring to the results of questionnaire, we planned suitable traveling cases for visiting Donghe. |

Suggestions of Donghe: |
| All of testers gave lots of suggestions, and all of them are positive. Here, we list some suggestions that most testers gave. |
| 1.It needs more marketing propaganda to let people to see the beauty of Donghe. |
| 2.Wishing the price of surfing could be more amiable and approachable. |
| 3.It lacks deeper tour spot for local tribes. |
| 4.The development of tourism need to be much planned, it can improve road signs of travel sights and the conditions of roads to decrease traveling time. And the Jinzun fishing port could be a sightseeing. |
| 5.The elders can teach the traditional culture and ancient wisdom to tourists and villagers. And if there have guides to explain the life of Amis would be better. |
