After the journal of interviews, we have more understanding of surfing, and know that Donghe is the one of surfing resort, and learn a lot of things that we cannot get from the school. The following is the thoughts of the members after this journal:

Interview photos

       When we were going to interview Bei-Bei in Donghe, we gathered in front of the gate of school at 9:30. As everyone arrived, we departed towards Donghe together. After we arrived, we walked to Bei-Bei’s home, we listened a short story about herself, and then the interview began.
        After the interview, we walked to the a surfing store and visited it, then we visited another store nearby, and met a Japanese in there. Our teacher asked Chen, Xiang-Yu to have a chat with him, after the interview with the Japanese, we walked to the bus stop, teacher brought us to the “tropical cyclone surfing B&B”, we visited it and interview the boss and one of the member.

       We visited Bei-Bei (Niu,Zhen-Lin) in Donghe, as we arrived, we started to introduce ourselves, after that we asked some questions, such as “what was your thought for first surfing competition?” and “did you get any serious injury form surfing?”. After finishing the interview, we took a group photo, then we visited and interviewed the surfing store next door, asking how much can I surf once? They said if you want a assigned coach and teach one by one, it cost about two thousand per once. A no assigned couch teaching one by one costs one thousand and six hundred per once. If the students is above two, the prize is one thousand and three hundred per student per once. We met a miss who let us have an interview, she also surfs and joined competitions, and she is working for exchange in a surfing store.

       In fact, interview is not so hard, it just make me a little nervous, I have to look into his/her eyes during the interview and talk louder and clearer. As we interview with Bei-Bei, she told us a lot of surfing things , and we asked some questions like “had you ever wanted to give up surfing or not?”, “what are you thinking about as you are surfing?”, and “How did you get hurt during surfing?”. Bei-Bei gave some advices for someone who want to try surfing. We had photos with Bei-Bei, it made us so happy.
        Our next stop was surfing stores in Donghe, a cute miss let us have an interview with her, this miss were very boisterous, and she told us about her surfing things. In the beginning, her family did agree her to surf, but her mother changed her mind from disagreement to urging her to be careful, because surfing changed her daily routine more regular.
        As arrived at the B&B in Donghe, we me a Japanese worked exchange for surfing there already for one mouth. We also asked him something about surfing, where was he from, and why did he want to surfing in Donghe. This man said that he started learning surfing at five, and starting surfing independently at twelve. The man is so cool for me.

       We went to visit surfing expert Niu,Zhen-Lin (Bei-Bei) today. During the interview, we needed to speak loudly and clearly, looking into her eyes, and we asked two questions each person. Bei-Bei started to surf at twenty-seven, she have surfed for thirty years, and she is still very beautiful at the age of forty. We heard a lot of Bei-Bei’s surfing experience, what do one notice as surfing, warming up could avoid tearing muscle and cramp before surfing.
       After the interview with Bei-Bei, we went to surfing stores in Donghe and met a miss who was willing to be interview, and she said that she had surfed here for two months. She shared lots of surfing experience for us, I thought she was fun and friendly.
        As arriving at B&B in Donghe, we met a surfer who just leaved the beach, and fought that he is Japanese. Fortunately, one of our group is Japanese, too, so she can be our translator. Because it was too cold to surf in Japan, he want to find a better place for surfing on internet , and finally fought Donghe was a good choice, that was why he was there. He started to learn swimming and surfing at five and twelve, respectively. I really admired him!

        I felt very nervous when interviewing with Bei-Bei, because is a famous people, I felt very excited to talk to her. We asked her what was her most impressive surfing to her, and she that in one game, she was competed with three male surfers, and they always tried to catch her waves. But Bei-Bei did give up, and won the second prize at that game. I think Bei-Bei is great, if I was her I must give up, but she didn’t. “Never give up!” is what I learn from her.
