1.People Bring Business

The founders of Hsin Tung Yang, Mai Hsin-Fu and his siblings, believe in the concept that “people bring business” when they first started their business. They always chose stores at busy traffic locations, and they also spend a lot of money setting up advertisements to increase the publicity of their brand and products. Having the store at the airport was a great step. When Hsin Tung Yang first started, it was the boom of the economy in Taiwan. Most of people who traveled by airplanes would buy gifts for others. Soon, Hsin Tung Yang began to earn great market share of the souvenir industry in Taiwan.

2.Locations Near the MRT Stations (Mass Rapid Transit)

Most of Hsin Tung Yang’s stores are located near MRT or bus stations because the busy traffic conveniently creates a flow of people. Consumers could find the stores easily. There are 21 stores of Hsin Tung Yang in Taipei. The nearest MRT exit to the store is not even over one kilometer. The distance between the Hsin Tung Yang’s store to the Dongmen MRT station is only about 20 meters. When Sean Lian was the chairman of Easy Card, he had selected Hsin Tung Yang as one of the firms that could use the Micropayment System for payment. It is based on the reason that stores of Hsin Tung Yang are near MRT stations.

Hsin Tung Yang always adheres to their principles in terms of its management. For example, they always locate their stores near busy traffic locations. I learned a lot from Hsin Tung Yang, and the firm impresses me!
