At the Airport
Hsin Tung Yang has great parts of ownership at the airport. There is a food court on the B1 floor that is owned and operated by the firm. Also, Hsin Tung Yang owns the gym, reading areas and art display areas at the airport of Taoyuan. There is a restaurant just outside of customs that serves Hakka traditional cuisine, and it was the restaurant that we enjoyed on the day of our visit. We thought the food was tasty and healthy, and the waitresses were polite and kind, too.
Hsin Tung Yang introduces the management idea of an Aviation Shopping Center in the Taoyuan International Airport; they want to bring in world famous brands, such as Starbucks and Subway to the center. The manager of the center, Ms. Lu, said these famous brands had greatly contribution toward the revenue of Hsin Tung Yang. Hsin Tung Yang holds huge parts of ownership at the airport, so there must be some special management skills involved – the key is to always greet the staff with a smile and consider their needs as priority. In Hsin Tung Yang, the head of the firm does not make decisions by himself. Instead, he listens to the staff’s opinion before making any decisions. This way, he shows the importance and the value all staff members and makes them feel as they are all part of the team.

Hsin Tung Yang sets up art displays on the second floor of the airport. The exhibition introduces various themes from time to time, so everyone could experience the traditional beauty of Taiwan. There is not only an art exhibition to see, but there are also some aboriginal handicrafts, too. If you like them, you could purchase them. Hsin Tung Yang wants to set up more computers on the second floor in the future for travelers who need them. Also, there is free WiFi. In the future, the airport station of MRT will be operated, and it should bring more consumers for Hsin Tung Yang. The entrance and exit of the airport MRT station will be located near the stores of Hsin Tung Yang. This is a marketing strategy of Hsin Tung Yang’s, which is founded on the principle that “people bring business.” Hsin Tung Yang is going to get the ownership of more stores in Terminal Three, which is to be constructed in the near future, and their business and management ideas will make Terminal Three an enjoyable place for everyone.
