Vataan: -->Hualien Sugar Factory Gate-->Turn right on Zhongshan Road (north)-->Guangfu Bridge-->Go north to Guang-fu Bridge, then turn left to Highway 9-->Go through the east line of railway-->Turn right, then turn left to the fist intersection-->Go along the indexes-->Vataan Literature and History Workroom-->Lalan House-->Vataan Agricultural Exhibition Center-->Xinlu Plantation-->Hongwawu Restaurant-->Xinlian Bridge-->Dragonfly Bioremediation Area -->Bailu Bridge-->Go along Fudeng Stream-->Turn left and go through the east line of the railway-->Go back to the starting point

Introduction of the Route:

Vataan is a traditional place for inhabitants of Amis Tribe; it is also the biggest humid land in Hualien. Inside of it, there are many special aquatic faunas and plants. Go alone the cycleway of the opposite side of Guangfu Sugar Factory Gate and the Fu Deng Stream; you'll see an extent of lotus flowers and water chestnut field. The beauty of the humid land and full-blown lotus flowers are overwhelming. Thus, waterhens, pycnonotus taivanus, dragonflies, and streams are shown on the two sides of the rode from time to time. Most importantly, do not miss the Paragao - an exceptional fishing method for Amis Tribe inhabitants. They catch big fishes and shrimps, but free young fishes away. This makes ecology grow continually

Guangfu Sugar Factory Gate

Sugar Factory is located on the Guangfu countryside in Hualien. This is one of the best spot for tourists to visit. You can not only enjoy the ice, but the recreation center, restaurant, coffee shop, orchid exhibition, bumper car amusement park. If you want to recover your energy, the accommodation there will be the best choice.

Vataan Literature and History Workroom

The theme of Vataan Literature and History Workroom is aborigine woodcarving, that you can admire the nature of humor from the Amis tribe habitants.

Xinlu Plantation

Xinlu Plantation is featured for its faunas and plants. For example, there are many kinds of waterfowls and aquatic plants. Your life here will be filled with a plenty of blue-green color. Maybe it's not the best, but it's worthy to visit.

Hongwawu Restaurant

The restaurant is near Hualien train station. This is interlocked with countryside and the smell of lotus leaves. You can also understand how the ancestors lasted their spirit.
