551BC Confucius was born in the village of Zou in the state of Lu (present-day Shandong Province) as a descendant of the noble K'ung clan. His original name was K'ung Ch'iu.

549BC（His elderly father, district commander of Tsow in Lu, died when Confucius was three years old leaving the family in poverty.

537BC As a young adult, Confucius quickly earned a reputation for fairness, politeness and love of learning,

535BC The death of Confucius mother, which occurred in his 17rd year, gave occasion to the first solemn and important act of Confucius as a moral reformer.

533BC He was married at the age of 19 and had one son and two daughters.

532BCDuring the four years immediately after his marriage he was variously employed as a keeper of stores and as a supertintendent of parks by the chief of the locally powerful Ki clan. This year, his first son was born and name as Li(a kind of fish).

525BC Tan Zi arrived Lu. Confucius asked him some questions about the custom of the government officials.。 He set up his first school.

522BC Confucius had studied hard more than fifteen years，he had lifted up the level of his thinking. This year, the king of Chi visited Lu and discussed how to conquer other kingdoms with Confucius.。

517BC There was a civil strife In Lu, and Confucius leave Lu to Chi.

516BC The King of Chi asked Confucius some questions about polotics. Confucius was highly appreciated by the king. Here Confucius heard the music of Shao anf forgot the smell of meat for three months.

512BC After the study and traveling for more than twenty years Confucius got better understanding about every aspect in daily life and said he had fewer questions than before.

502BC Confucius said he had known his own destiny the god gave to him.

At the age of 52, he was appointed chief magistrate of the city of Chung-tu. Such was the improvement in the behaviour of the people that the next year he was raised the post of Minister of Crime of the state of Lu with the result that crime was almost eliminated, the public became of better character and fractious barons were brought into submission to the ruler.

497BC，This year the King of Chi sent eighty beauties to Lu.The King of Lu forgot what he should do in politics. Therefore, Confucius left Lu.

492BC By passing the country of Zhan, Confucius was laughed by others as a homeless dog. Confucius said there was no words that could make him feel angry.

489BC Confucius and His followers were short of food between countries. Many of his followers got sick，later saved by the people of Chu。

488BC Confucius was in the country of Wei.。He told the King of Wei that the first thing had to be done was gor the right name。

In 483 BC, after a years of fruitless searching for an ideal ruler, he returned to Lu. He was then aged 69 and spent the remaining four years of his life in retirement involved in scholarly studies into the Chinese classics. This year, his eldest son died.

482BC Confucius said he could follow his own free will and do anything he wanted without violating the laws or moral burdens. This year his favorite student died, Confucius was very sad.

479BC In April，Confucius got sick and died and buried in the north side of Lu. Most of his students guarded his tomb for three years. Zi Gong, one of his student, guarded his tomb for six years. His students and followers set up their Families around his Tomb. Therefore, a village was born and named as Kong village. 。Confucius house was reformed as a temple，Confucius was worshiped as a god.
