The domestic animals for sacrifice during the Ceremony are called ¡§Tai Lao¡¨.They contain four pigs, two goats, and one cattle.There is a special custom after sacrifice that the ¡§Tai Lao¡¨ would be moved to the square for people to pull out ¡§Wisdom Hair¡¨ the cattle¡¦s hairs.There was a legend that if students get the ¡§Wisdom Hair¡¨, they would become more intelligent and studious.So, every time the Ceremony is over, many mothers and kids strive for pulling out the cattle¡¦s hairs as soon as possible.However, the cattle¡¦s hairs are always limited, so there is usually chaos.As a result, from 1981, the Government abandoned this custom and replaced the real cattle with the floury cattle.Pulling out ¡§Wisdom Hair¡¨ becomes an interesting legend until now. |
