| The Ling Shing Gate is the first entrance of the Confucius Temple. Itˇ¦s an unique design of the Confucius Temple. Like the Dacheng HallˇAIt is only open for the Confucius Ceremony. It is said Ling Shing is the lecture star. It can help people to get promotions by the aspect of lecture. There is a rule set up by Han Gao Emperor. That rule is we should worship the Ling-Shing before we worship the heaven. In1028, Song Ren Emperor set up the Ling Shing Gate and put it in the Confucius Temple. It means that the emperor wanted to worship Confucius just like the god in Heaven. A Ling Shing Gate is necessary for any Confucius temple and it is placed in the front. The Ling Shing Gate is built like an honorific arch. The Ling Shing Gate of the Changhua Confucius Temple, has a roof and is like a tower with a gate underneath. |
