The Ching Emperor Chien Long 24th year

It was directed by the County Magistrate Chang Shi-zhen. The content of the repairs included removing the Rites Way and Justice Way, digging the Pool, heightening Ming Lun Hall and repairing Bai Sha Academy.

The Ching Emperor Jia Ching 16th year

Ming Lun Hall was destroyed by the wars in 1786 A.D. In the 16th Year of the Emperor Jia Ching, the Magistrate Yang Gui-son intended to repair it. He built the platform and stone rails, rebuilding Ming Lun Hall on the left side of the Temple.

The present appearance of Changhua Confucius Temple was the result of repairing in 1830 A.D. The Temple already became brilliant; especially for the elegancy of Da Cheng Hall. The skills of the sculptures are so incredibly excellent that this kind of wondrful building was infrequent in Taiwan.

In 1933 A.D., the people had ever fixed Jii Gate and Ling Shing Gate. But the Japanese wrecked Bai Sha Academy, Rites Way, Justice Way, the Pool and the walls in order to delete the Chinese culture in Taiwan. |

The R.O.C. Government announced the Temple as the national historical landmark. In 1958, the Government dealt hundreds of thousand NT dollars to repair the Temple. |

The 67th Year of R.O.C.

In 1972, the Temple was destroyed by the typhoons. In 1976, the County Government dealt more than twenty-three million dollars to repair the Temple, and finished the work on August 22nd, 1978 A.D. |

Due to the "921" Earthquake happened in 1999 A.D., the two sides of the walls were inclined. |
