The representative former Confucian virtuous persons and educators were worshipped in the Eastern Wing and the Western Wing. Seventy-four persons were worshipped in each Wing, so there are totally one hundred forty-eight persons.The former Confucian virtuous persons are mostly Confuciusˇ¦ seventy-two students who all had great contributions in moralism, but the former educators include historic great scholars who had great contributions to the spreading of Confucianism. |
