Source Of Water

The range of services of Chi-Sing Irrigation Association includes Beitou, Shilin, Nangang, Neihu Districts and Xizhi District in New Taipei City, where their water sources all come from Quanyuan Village of Beitou District. According to the local elderly dictation, during the Qing Dynasty, the ancestors introduced the stream of Dakeng River for the reclamation of terraces and planting of rice.

As a result of abundant water, for hundreds of years, it has been the endless water source, with Eighteen Shares area for nearly 60 hectares of agricultural land; it promotes the prosperity of the rural economy. And such a waterway system is one of the oldest irrigation systems in the hilly region of Taipei; its age is as old as the waterway in Pingdeng Village of Shilin District, according to the local elderly dictation.
