Chi-Sing Environmental Greening Foundation

Objective：

It is not for profit, but for the purpose of handling or assisting the government in carrying out research and promotion work in regard to urban greening and agricultural management in Taiwan, so as to enhance the income of farmers, landscaping and enhance the quality of life of citizens. Hopefully, with limited manpower and resources, this foundation could invoke the whole people to respond; and the greenification will start from their own home environment and expand to communities, institutions and schools, parks and open spaces.

Task：

1.

Demonstration of greenification improvement: In order to increase people's correct concept and understanding of the method of greenification, our Association will irregularly organize demonstration of greenification in schools, communities, institutions and open spaces, for mutual observation and learning.

2.

Promotion, education advocacy, and information activities for greenification: comprehensively implementing urban greenification, strengthening the education of greenification, organizing large-scale exhibitions and advocacy activities, and assisting institutions and organizations in lectures and study of greenification, and publishing various greenification textbooks and publications for reference.

3.

Seedling breeding, and its improvement and promotion: the improvement of greenification, and for the citizens, the increase in consumption of flowers and trees, and the demand of high quality flowers and trees are significant. Due to the different specifications of seedlings and uneven quality of flowers and trees, the overall greening level is indirectly affected. In order to improve the quality of greenification, we have established standardized cultivation for the containers of seedlings of flowers and trees, and advocated farmers to produce flowers and seedlings in containers; we also introduced the specification standard for the containers in the United States and Canada, based on container liability, and applied to the seedling breeding cultivation, then promoted to the landscape markets for application.

4.

Greenification research development and investigation improvement: Focusing on the problems encountered in urban greenification, we shall study on our own or invite experts and scholars to conduct research and investigation in various methods.
