      Mr Hsiao considers that education is about identifying the route for pursuance of one’s goal.  I think education is about extracting knowledge from textbooks and doing what I like.  Reaching goal is great.  I think both Junyi and Mr Hsiao are in pursuance of greatness.


Chung-Hsiang Tai
       Mother of Hao-cing Chih forbids him from using computer related equipment in his learning.  That is somehow not in line with objective of Junyi.  However, I can recall a very remarkable statement made by Mr Benny Hsiao during his interview.  He said that learning is something that one should do every day in fixed duration and schedule.  You can benefit from it by spending 15 minutes on the Junyi platform every day.  I have to do what Mr Hsiao has said and spend 5 minutes every day on Junyi.

      I was impressed by Mr Hsiao’s statement regarding learning.  He believes learning at desired tempo of every child is the ideal model of education.  Some are fast learner whereas some take longer.  The fast learner can choose to learn more or be promoted to next level.  It is ok for the slower ones who take their time to continue at the tempo that each of them chooses.  The can still move up the ladder slowly.

      Mr Benny Hsiao wishes every pupil gets to learn at his own tempo.  In that case, we will have aligned progress and worsened problem.  I think Mr Benny Hsiao has made a very good choice.  Such teaching would not affect the self-confidence of pupils.
Yu-Fei Chou
     If a pupil accesses the Junyi platform for lessons conducted at his desired pace and according to his requirements, he would attain a higher sense of achievement.  It is just like the approach called “aptitude oriented teaching” proposed by Confucius.  User gets to choose and takes initiative to learn the content.  Taking into account individual degree of readiness, a user would achieve better result with such unconventional mean.

      Mr Benny Hsiao spoke at moderate pace which makes our post-interview work easier.  We have had two successful interviews today.  Both of them belong to my team.  This means my team only has to manage the equipment next time.  I think the other way and want to stay an interviewer.

      Ms Jiang didn’t believe all at once about the benefit of the Junyi platform as expressed by Mr Shin-chou Fang.  Instead, she asked her pupils to play with the platform and found that it is capable of improving pupils’ grades.  One has to personally experience something before commenting instead of believing in preacher completely.

      Ms Shu-Chuang Chiang said that the roll-out of the Junyi platform was triggered by the speech of Mr Shin-chou Fang.  To evaluate the effectiveness of the platform, she started with a small group of Grade 6 pupils, who were a bit behind in their mathematics, and spent lunch breaks with them on Junyi in the computer classroom.  After a short period, the group members scored at least 80 in mathematics in examination.  They used to fail the normal and mid-term examinations.  This proved that the platform is effective.  Eventually, the rollout was extended to Grade 3 to 6 and that’s why we are using the Junyi platform now.

      According to Ms Shu-Chuang Chiang, the founder of Junyi Academy aims at helping the underprivileged children.  Their families endure low incomes and cannot afford evaluation handbooks and reference materials.  However, they can access the platform as long as their families or schools provide computers, tablets or handphones.  Ms Shu-Chuang Chiang often tells us the benefit of Junyi.  I want to give her my gratitude for her devotion of time and energy.

      I was deeply touched by Ms Shu-Chuang Chiang who managed the rollout of the Junyi platform in our school. 
      I’ve made major mistakes.  When I was filming the interviews, I undeliberately covered the lens with my hand.  A footage was blackened.  When I was copying video files, I carelessly deleted the file without prior check.  The video cannot be replayed.  I won’t make the same mistakes again.


Yu-Fei Chou
       Ms Shu-Chuang Chiang is a very good interviewee who provided comprehensive descriptions.  Her audiences may even mentally make her descriptions into vivid images. 
     There aren’t many people who are capable of making comprehensive verbal descriptions like Ms Shu-Chuang Chiang.  One has to read a lot and learn the descriptive skills.  Hopefully, we can be as good as Ms Jiang in the future.


Hao-Ching Chih
        Ms Jiang told us a lot about her early days when she joined Changan Elementary School.  I was surprise that our school maintains such position as System Manager.  Also, I found that it was Ms Jiang who created the on-line discussion group for each grade.  I wasn’t aware until Ms Jiang told me that she rolled out the Junyi platform primarily for encouraging the pupils who have poor grades and that the Junyi Club was the result of many years’ of experience in motivation of pupils.
