A. The Current Situation of This Area

This area is from Zhuwei Bridge to Plum Tree Creek estuary, around 800 meters long. It is found that there is abundant sewage flows into Plum Tree Creek under Zhuwei Bridge . Even though water flow is higher, it is all sewage. In the river that in front of the Zheng’s house is full of algal bloom. It’s impossible to survive for living creatures. Because of located in tidal zone, after flowing through the Zheng’s house, the river is diluted by Tamsui River . Pollution degree is lower. Birds are seen nearby and few Tilapia live in the river. Furthermore, at the junction of Plum Tree Creek and Tamsui River , there are intertidal creatures the most.

B. The Current Situation of Pollution and Problems  

Though this area is located in estuary, domestic sewage from nearby community is still discharged into Plum Tree Creek which makes it to be polluted severely.

C. Our Solution

a)     More than ten kinds of birds are found at this area. Therefore, the place is used as education or estuarine wetland ecological observation and here is a leisure square too.

b)     This area is rich of ecological creatures and near Tamsui River . At the tidal zone, there is abundant of living creatures, therefore, we suggest building a pavilion for ecological guiding so that people can have a deeper understanding on intertidal wetland ecosystem.
