A. The Current Situation of This Area

The big pond of Xiao Pingding divided this section into two regions. There are farm lands near the river in upper area, spray herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilizers during tillage. Another is residential area, some families discharge domestic sewage here.

B. The Current Situation of Pollution and Problems

Four factors affacts Plum Tree Creek in this region:

a) The sewage of Guo-Hua golf club effluent directly

b) There are many restaurants nearby the pond. Without sewage treatment, it caused pollution.

c) Although there are not much households, domestic sewage effluent into the channel and caused pollution.

d) The agricultural use of pesticides and herbicide contamination.

C. Our Solution

a) The sewage of Guo-Hua golf club should have appropriate treatment.

b) Restaurant should also have simple wastewater treatment systems to reduce pollution of river.

c) Reduce the use of agricultural pesticides and herbicides, reducing pollution of land and river.
