A. The Current Situation of Origin Area

Plum Tree Creek is originated from a main stream of Gui-Zi Keng Mountain . Although its catchment area is quite big, it is not rich in water. Study shows that the reason may be the water diversion for the use of irrigation and tap water at some areas so water shortage often took place. The water resources had a significant reduction in Xiao Pingding, so Pei Kee Irrigation Association built an diversion ditch at the upstream area of Xiao Pingding, it’s extending to the upstream of Gui-Zi Keng, the total length is approximately 1.2 kilometers.   

B. The Current Situation of Pollution and Problems

The biggest problem of this section now is that the entire ditch is full of water pipes, which diverse water to the pond at Xiao Pingding, golf club or elsewhere. Due to the water pipes increment, there’s few water when it comes to Xiao Pingding. The water had gone before reached to upstream.  

C. Our Solution

a)    The golf club should do the storage of irrigation water by themselves.

b)    Removing all the private pipes to keep water flowing; set the water supply station and replenish the water of upstream and downstream.

c)     Set water supply system to provide clean water for local residents to use, reducing water interception in this area.

d)    Re-enable the ponds here in this area and connect with irrigation channels to solve the agricultural needs.
