We went toTaipei to visit. It is quite a place and
even though everyone there was either at work or school, the streets were
still busy with activities. After some waiting at the building, we went
inside to interview Ms. Mei-ren Yu. We didn¡¦t expect Ms. Yu, who¡¦s often
quite lively on radio, to answer questions so solemnly. Everyone was
nervous because it was the first time we interviewed a famous person. After
the interview was finished we took a picture with her. After that, we went to
the 12th floor to listen to Ms. Lu, BCC¡¦s PR, to explain the
BCC¡¦s contribution to everyone. Often, loyal listeners send mails to
express their gratitude. There were even pictures of fans with the radio
personalities. After the introduction, we visited the recording room and
checked out a recording of a live program. Most importantly, we learned
about the proper manner for making a program and ways to capture the hearts
of the audience, which were extremely important. After visiting, we went to
have lunch. It was rather hot and Jun-hsian Hsu was sweating a lot; his
face turned red! After we finished eating, Mr. Bao-chia (teacher) went to a
book store. Director Cho took us to the nearbyHsing Tien
Temple to pray and
visit. After that, we interviewed Ms. Lu from BCC. Mr. Lu answered our
questions and helped us to understand a lot. We thanked BCC for letting us
learning things that we didn¡¦t usually have access to.

was very fortunate for us.

Ms. Meng-yan Lu scheduled
today¡¦s itinerary. She took us to different places to visit, such as the
studio of the News Network and the one where Ms. Mei-ren Yu hosts her show
live, also a place where news was playing on TV. Each person had a bunch of
information and they were busy typing out news! Ms. Lu took some time to
introduce the history of BCC in detail and she told us the station¡¦s
response to power outage. If the electricity went out, BCC¡¦s UPS system
will automatically turn on. In addition, there are 2 to 3 engineers observing
the power generator system, so there were no worries about equipment being not
operational due to power outage.
¡@The interview time with Ms. Mei-ren Yu was only 30
minutes. We learned that she was a well-known cram school teacher. One day,
one of her friends asked her if she wanted to try broadcasting, and she
gave it a shot. It turned out everyone liked her conversation style and
thus she became a host. She felt the biggest difference between radio
programming and TV programming was that she could dress casually on radio
and be less concerned with having the proper way to conduct herself.
However, she had to put on make up on TV as well as care about the
audience¡¦s sensibility, which meant that she had to conduct herself
carefully.
¡@¡@This trip toTaipei
helped me to learn a lot, therefore, I want to make a perfect report.

Our biggest wish was to
interview Ms. Mei-ren Yu inTaipei.
Originally, Ms. Yu was just a famous cram school teacher. She tried out for
radio because her friend asked. She didn¡¦t know that she¡¦d be quite popular
and so Ms. Yu became a host of radio programs. She felt that the biggest
difference between radio and TV broadcasting was that she could dress more
casually on radio but she had to dress well on TV.
Ms. Lu scheduled out itinerary We got to see the studio for News Network. I
saw many TV sets inside and each had news on and piles of informational
documents were piled on everyone¡¦s table. Ms. Lu took some time to
introduce the history of BCC in detail. Is anyone curious what happens when
the power is out? Actually, the UPS system is automatically turned on when
the power is out, so everything always functioned normally no matter what
happens. Finally, everyone here was very busy ¡V I guess that was the
difference between the city and the countryside.

students from Zhongshan High about the features of Wun De Elementary
School.
