Audio/Video Recordings
1. Experience Activities
In order to get an up-and-close look at the training and learning program of Cloud Gate dancers, we arranged a series of activities: a tour to the Cloud Gate Theater, dance experience course, attending Mr. Lin Hwai-min's book signing event, calligraphy writing and watching dance performances. These activities made us focused, enlightened, and aware of what was happening within Cloud Gate.
2. Fuhsing News
We used the resource in school and produced a video recording of our news report, to introduce the activities we attended and tell about the story of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, including the awards they have won, their performances and the retiring of Mr. Lin Hwai-min. We produced the recording on our own. We had many discussions and distributed workload to team members. Finally, we presented the narrative in English, as an effort for internationalization!
3. Promotion in Classes
We visited different classes to present our findings during early study sessions, with the teachers who taught us in the past. We chose the picture book, "Dance Tanya" to the students from the first to the third grades, and we presented our activities and results on Cloud Gate Dance Theatre to the students from the fourth to the sixth grades. We also conducted a pop quiz and asked for feedback, to encourage participation from the students.
4. Promotion on Bulletin Boards
To help the students gain an in-depth understanding of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, we produced posters in our spare time and posted them on the bulletin board of the primary school section. We also invited other students to listen to our presentation between classes. Meanwhile, we asked the students who listened to our introduction of the bulletin board posters to fill out feedback forms. We received very positive responses and good questions. This was a great learning experience.
