February 4, 2013 The Big Feast at the End of the Year
Today was the last day of this semester; the children in Cih-Sheng were going home for Chinese New Year after today’s activity. At first, we helped in the kitchen and assisted the children. We were glad to know that they still remembered us.
We felt so sorry that we didn’t have enough time to practice our performances. We forgot some of the gestures and dancing steps. We promised to work harder next time if we still had chances. Children and employees prepared great shows, too. They must work very hard to show their best to us. Everyone gave his big hands at the end of the show; it took them a lot of time for the costumes and the shows because each group would be scored by the judges.
Besides, Mei Chi and Yu Chun helped feed the kids; they did pretty well because the last experience. We ate and helped together happily, just like a big family. There were many volunteers besides us came today, including “Changhua Volunteer Serving Institution” and “Kuang Liang Charity”. We were invited to their activities.
After the activity, we said goodbye to the children and thanked the teachers and the principal for their help and supporting. We would keep on being volunteers after finishing Internet Expo because we have learned much more here than at school.
