The activity held by Rotary Club.

It was very happy to join the barbecue which was held by Rotary Club in Cih-Sheng. We had many kind-hearted college students to assist the activity today. This time, we got two Rotary Clubs in the activity, Rotary Club Of Chiayi Pei Huei came to observe and emulate Rotary Club of Changhua Imperial Family how to hold the activities. Both of them were the first time conducting an activity for the disadvantaged. The Rotary Club sent a basketball stand to the students in Cih-Sheng. Also, Cih-Sheng gave the Rotary Club a testimonial to thank their donation. Because of them, the students in Cih-Sheng have the new entertainment equipment.

First, we augment the opportunities of serving people by holding more activities.

Second, we advocate high morality in every career or undertaking; we should know more about the value of each career which is good to our society. Every member in Rotary Club should raise his dignity of career to serve the society.

Third, each member of Rotary Club can apply “The serving spirit” to his life, his business and society.

Fourth, we can make ourselves get more understanding about the world, also, we can make the world friendly and peace by connecting the worldwide relationship of serving together.

We were especially introduced by the host; he said we were the young reporters from Yang Ming Junior High School. Then, our Mayor of Changhua city, Qiu, also gave a short speech to encourage everyone, and he said it was very important to care about the disadvantaged and we should make them feel warm and help them more. Here came the performance from the students of Cih-Sheng, it was really amazing. To finish a dance, it took them a lot of time to practice; they could only remember a little movement each time, so they really worked hard to learn this dance. There were three groups joining the performance, the early intervention group, the adults group and the children group with special education and home schooling. When they performed on the stage, we were really touched by their smiling.

The next activity was collage. We asked the leaders of the serving clubs some questions when they were free, and they all answered the questions enthusiastically, that’s really nice of them. Doing the collage with the students was really happy and fun. The students in Cih-Sheng were so simple and adorable; we really had a good time with them!

At first, we planned to have a barbecue with the students in Cih-Sheng, but the age of the early intervention group is too young to take good care of their safety, especially in a rainy day. So we made a decision to send the barbecue which was already done into the house and ate. When we delivered the food to them, they always said “Thank you” to us politely, it really made us feel happy! The activity this time was really great, and we learned a lot during the interaction with the students.

Suddenly, four big cakes were sent in because they were going to celebrate for the students whose birthday is in December; the cake was made by the students in Mariposa. They were so great and the cakes were so yummy! Wan-chu’s birthday is in December, too! Happy birthday to all of them!

Obviously, there are many people willing to help; this spirit moved us a lot, and made us feel warm inside our hearts. So, we believe that if you make more efforts to help, you can see how warm our society is. As today, it really amazed us, and it made us have a deep thinking about the life; no matter what kind of lives we are in, we always can find our way out. The students in Cih-Sheng gave us the most unbreakable examples, and we even could call them the life-educating teachers. Those students can live in a beautiful way with the disabilities, then why do we normal people still complain about our lives? There is an invisible power in Cih-Sheng, but you have to feel it until you experience it. That is the medicine and the experience for both life and mind.

This was the first time for Changhua Imperial Family Rotary Club to come to Cih-Sheng, the reason why they chose Cih-Sheng was that Mrs. Yang takes really good care of the children with love. So, they hoped to observe and learn as well as interact with the students. As for Rotary Club Of Chiayi Pei Huei, they came to emulate how Changhua Imperial Family Rotary Club holds an activity in here, and they hope to bring this activity back to Chiayi to share with the club members. Changhua Imerial Family Rotary Club investigated Cih-Sheng five times because they wanted to interact with the children and make them happy. At first, they wanted to have a barbecue with the children, but they canceled because the concern of the safety. They asked the vendor to send the barbecue in and let everyone eat indoors, hoping to have more time to interact with the students.

They made some efforts and care to the students in Cih-Sheng. They interacted and learned from the students and made friends with them. The students here can get the best care and there are a lot of peole from the society give them a lot of care to hope the students can contribute to the society one day. For instance- “Mariposa”, the restaurant where can let these students learn how to make bread and cookies, that’s a good learning experience.

A talk with the Rotary Club.

At first, we didn’t understand the situation of these students in Cih-Sheng, but we got more understanding of them after the interaction. There are different kinds of students, like early intervention and multiple disabled. We hoped not only to bring the happiness to them through the activity, but also to let the students have a chance to meet the people from the society. We will have a caring-disadvantaged activity on December 23, so letting us interact with them face to face and making our efforts work is really meaningful.

“The society public service will not be divided into parts.” The Rotary Club is a kind of global organization; there are more than 30,000 units at present. This year, the goal is to serve with love and to make the world peaceful. We have our branches in the poor places of all over the world. For example, the backward countries in Africa and so on.
