This activity was held by Taishin International Bank. The purpose was to help those charitable organizations which faced the difficulties in funds raising or operation. Hoping to get more people know about them and help those organizations which really needed help. Taishin Charity Foundation founded “The Power of Love at Your Fingertips” event. The event which was first held in 2010 invited charitable organizations to submit project proposals to the event website. These proposals were then voted on by the public. The highest ranking projects received the funds. This year, in order to expand the power of love even further, Taishin Charity Foundation co-organized this activity with Chiling Charity Foundation, and even invited Franz, Advantech, Chunghwa Telecom Foundation and the like, to join this event together, providing more funds to increase the number of charitable organizations. With this unification, resources and expertise can be combined to extend the power of love to arts and culture and digital learning, making more organizations join together and get the power of love.

The purpose of setting up a percussion group is to support and satisfy the need of youth, children and disabled in Cih-Sheng. So we evaluated the willing of learning percussion and the abilities then recruited the members to set up a percussion group. In order to bring the special education into a higher level of service, we hope to invite professional teachers to come and provide the guidance and the training courses to raise the connection of this group. Also, we will give a performance in public to the schools and the communities to announce our achievement.

We manufactured the flyers, asked for the help from our families and friends, and posted the messages on the internet, to hope Cih-Sheng could earn more votes to receive the funds and set up the percussion group as well as make their dreams come true. By hoping to get more support and affirmation of Cih-Sheng, we chose to send the flyers at the crowded Changhua Train Station and in front of our school. That was our first time to send the flyers to others, so we were very shy to promote the messages, and we even worried about being rejected by others; however, when we thought about the contribution and the sacrifice of Dean and the teachers as well as the hard working disabled students, we encouraged ourselves and did our best to finish this task! During sending the flyers, we found out that some of schoolmates were kind, they asked for more flyers and sent them to their classmates and their families; some of schoolmates were cold, they rejected us right away, made us feel upset. But for this unique experience, we knew the true meaning of “Taking pleasure in serving others.” Although there was only a little tiny sparkle, it lighted us and brought some warm to the people.

This time Cih-Sheng wasn’t selected in the competition, so they didn’t set up the percussion group. What a pity! Dean of Cih-Sheng found out that music could let the kids concentrate on learning, stable their emotions and learn some easy words by singing. So, she decided to use this opportunity to set up a percussion group. In order to make the kids a percussion group which belongs to them to learn and grow in music, they will wait for and next chance and try again. The kids in Cih-Sheng are really beloved, for having a group of people who love them a lot; the kids also have a home with love, and the dean really takes good care of this big family.
