Flying horse
I am highly interested in Flying Horse because my Chinese zodiac animal is the Horse. A horse is a huge animal that cannot fly originally, and later it transforms into a flying horse because of Greek Mythology. A horse with wings is more heroic. Building a horse-shaped kite is not that easy already. It is indeed amazing to fly a horse-shaped kite into the sky! |

Flying horse
What impressed me most was the Flying Horse kite made by Buteo Huang because it was so real and vivid. The Flying Horse kite seems like Santa Claus' reindeers walking in the sky, which reminds me a phrase describing ‘a heavenly steed soaring across the sky.’ It is like watching a three dimensional movie when we see a white three-dimensional horse flying in the sky and continuously extending. It is spectacular! That’s why I like the Flying Horse kite most. |

Flying horse
Of the pieces made by Buteo Huang, I like the Flying Horse kite most because it looks stereoscopic to me. Mysterious flying horses bring me into a magic world. I seem to fly when looking at mysterious flying horses galloping in the clouds.

Dawu traditional fishing vessel
The vessels of Taiwan indigene Dawu embody characters of Taiwan indigenes. Dawu People hold the vessel Launching Ceremony every year that young men carry a vessel on their shoulders. Flying a Dawu traditional fishing vessel kite against the blue sky is like coasting a vessel into the ocean. It is not that simple to keep balance in the sky for a threadlike vessel with paddles on both sides of a vessel. Seeing in the distance the kite is really like a vessel coasting into the boundless ocean. |

Dragon
I like this piece most because a dragon is the Chinese mascot. This kite is very huge in terms of the length and volume, and it is delicate itself. The most special part is that there are rows of scales on the dragon’s body. The design of tiny holes makes the kite not only easy to receive the wind but also look shining when the kite flies into the sky. The kite looks lively as if a dragon flying against the blue sky. |

My Son
My favorite work is My Son. Teacher Huang said the inspiration of this work is from his son. One night, Teacher Huang stayed up working the kite, and his son fell asleep on his working table. Teacher Huang found his son is so innocent that he decided to make “My Son”. My Son reflects how Teacher Huang loves his son. How lucky that Teacher Huang’s son can fly in the sky.
