Zhongshan
It is an underground metro station on
the Tamsui-Xinyi Line and also a transfer station of the
Tamsui-Xinyi Line and Songshan Station. The station is
located on Nanjing West Road and the Station code is
R11/G14. There are 4 exits on Tamsui-Xinyi Line. Songshan
Line was added with two additional exits and renovated two
existing exits. The exits are connected to Zhongshan Metro
Mall.
You can see the Metro Linear Park when you get out of the
station. A lot of public art can be seen at the linear park
such as artworks of ducklings, rabbits, and snails, and
robots made of mosaic and the mosaic wall were created by
the students of Rixin Elementary School. In December, the
park is lit with Christmas lights at night to create a
festive atmosphere and it becomes a hot spot for Facebook
check-in and pictures taking. Many artistic elements are
created around R4 exit to remind people that it is time to
visit Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art. It is recently
reconstructed with transparent glass to better integrate
with the surrounding.
