Chief You told us that the wood art of Daxi was also very famous in Daxi. In fact, people can still purchase wooden furniture, especially God Table in town. In the past, almost every household on Daxi Old Street was a furniture store. Then the wooden furniture business was on par with the dried bean curd enterprise. Because these wooden products can be used and passed down from generation to generation, there is not much demand for new ones. As a result, the business has been declining. She has also mentioned that we can visit Furen Village Office if we want to know more about Daxi Old Street and the renovation of the whole community. In addition to the tasty dried bean curd, bamboo shoots, Chinese leeks, and other agricultural products are recommended. Sweet tofu pudding, vegan-chicken, and vegan-belly are also delicious.

Chief You has mentioned that in Daxi, the influence of dried bean curd on the residents and the communities is actually small. However, it does have big influence on tourism. There are many activities for visitors to participate, such as the Dried Tofu Festival, Toy Top Festival, Sumo Festival, Camellia Festival, Bamboo Shoot Festival, and Flower Seasons, held respectively by each village with its unique feature.

Among these activities, Daxi Old Street features dried bean curd. Daxi is also called Presidential Town because two former Presidents, Chiang Kai-Shek and Lee Teng-Hui once lived here. Religious activities are held on June 24th of the lunar calendar to celebrate the birthday of Saintly Emperor Guan. It is the largest celebration in the local area, and it is also the best way for tourists to experience the lifestyle of Daxi.
