Products

We group the products into two categories according to the expiration date.

  • Category I. Products that can be kept for a long time: fermented tofu and yellow dried bean curd.
    1. Fermented tofu:red fermented tofu, sesame oil fermented tofu, rice-stuffed fermented tofu, jar-preserved fermented tofu (original or spicy flavor). The expiration date is about two years, and it is usually consumed with rice or cooked in dishes. (The following four pictures of fermented tofu were downloaded from the website of Huang Ri-Xiang.)

    3. Yellow dried bean curd has many flavors:

  • Category II. Products that can only be kept for a short time: Black dried bean curd and braised tofu. (The following photos were taken from the interview of Huang Ri-Xiang and Da fang.)
    1. Black dried bean curd: The expiration day is about three days in room temperature, a week in refrigeration. You can eat it without cooking or cook it with other ingredients to make creative dishes.

    3. Braised tofu: braised vegan-chicken, braised vegan-sausage, Sue- Du, Bai-Yei tofu, and bean roll. They taste the best when people eat them immediately. Tourists enjoy eating them when they visit Daxi.

    5. Hard dried bean curd: It is harder than black dried bean curd. Huang Ri-Xiang’s former boss shared it with his fishing buddies as snacks during their fishing trips. It became very popular, so they named it “Fishing bean curd.” The local people also like it very much. It is exclusive in Huang Ri-Xiang. People have to ask the boss first if they want to buy this particular dried bean curd. Only the locals are aware of this specialty.
