Chairwoman Jian thinks that some traditional businesses in Daxi are more important than the dried bean curd business, for example, forging metals, manufacturing wooden furniture, and making special tables (God Table) reserved for god-worship use. She has also mentioned that the Daxi Wood Art Ecomuseum is not just a museum. It is actually an area formed by the natural environment, so it shows the lifestyle in Daxi. In this museum, you can know more about Daxi and understand the ups and downs of Daxi. The museum was open in 2015 with the mission of preserving cultural assets and integrating local communities. It is committed to the preservation, recording and performance of the two core themes of “the Daxi Wood Art Industry” and “the lifestyle of Daxi residents” to promote the beauty of contemporary art of wood in daily life. A number of satellite pavilions have been set up around the area to provide information about the lifestyle and festival activities of the Daxi residents.

In Daxi, there is a great traditional event – the religion festival. Every year, people in Daxi celebrate the birthday of Saintly Emperor Guan, and the event begins on June 24th of the lunar calendar. Chairwoman Jian welcomes everyone to the Daxi Culture and Art Festival to experience the religious activities and amazing culture and also to enjoy the artworks.
