Working in design is like passing something through a sieve. First you take a broad perspective to consider every possibility. Then you find the core elements and choose what works.

 1.Work Journal

Our team was officially established in November, 2012, but before then, in September, we had already decided which category we wanted to participate in – the “Local leader” category of the Elementary School Group, and began to actively select an interviewee. In the end there were three people left on our list: a famous chef and two well known artists. After many discussions between our parents and three teachers, we decided to interview Professor Lin, who was one of the final three. The main reason we chose him is because Professor Lin has the qualities of a local leader, and has global vision. After a lot of communication and discussion, Professor Lin eventually agreed to be interviewed, and allowed us to make this report and set up a website.

When we began to conduct the interviews and work on the project, the instructors suggested that, to work more efficiently, we meet up every two weeks for a big meeting, every participant has to be there, and at least 9 instructors and/or parents should be present. 9 participating students were split into 3 groups, and each group would be responsible for similar duties. Group members can meet up between the scheduled big meetings if necessary, and report their conclusions during the big meetings. Our progress follows the work schedule sheet, and every minutes of the big meeting is also our work journal. Group meeting minutes are omitted here. The following record includes our work journal and significant events.
