After we decided to choose Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin as our topic for the Cyberfair contest, we started to collect information about Mr. Lin. We tried every way to collect as much resource as we could from the internet, both visual and audio, books, magazines and newspapers. As we were doing so, we realized that there was too much to learn about Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin, and Mr. Lin would like us to read all information before doing the interview with him. In order to have a successful interview, we divided into groups to do the reading, we then shared our opinions and sorted out the outline and key points for the interview. We even did a simulation for the interview!

　　On the day of the interview, we used video cameras, digital cameras, and a recorder to record every words from Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin. To our surprise, we didn’t feel pressure to interview him. His humorous talk made us listen to him with great interests. Without any reservation, he shared his experiences about how to do design, promote education and implement art designs into practical uses. He talked about his wide range of knowledge of art and design so fluently that we all felt time flew too fast. We couldn’t help but wanted to learn more. We would like to have more chances to appreciate more art works of Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin. We also wanted to get more advice and learn more from him.

　　But it was such a pity that Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin was too busy. He had an art exhibition at Tung Fang Design University in Kaohsiung, and he needed to be there immediately. Just as we felt disappointed, our parents made a decision to let us attend Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin’s exhibition, and Mr. Lin was very kind to be our personal guide. On hearing this great news, we were all overjoyed. None of us was absent on that day. This trip really broadened our views, and we gained a lot from it.

Our study process

　　After the trip, we began to sort out and analyze the data of the interview. We also had the chance to talk to other related professionals who excelled in the field of art and design. In the process, we learned more knowledge about art design and we found out that designing was really an interesting job in spite of its hard work.

　　At this time, our parents suggested that since Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin’s paintings were full of vitality and energy, we should share them with more people, especially with the disadvantage minorities. Therefore, our parents hoped that we shouldn’t just make a website; we had to carry out Mr. Apex Pang-Soong Lin’s spirit of love, caring and service in real actions. As a result, we held a charity sale on the school anniversary. We donated all the money earned from the sale and we gave cards to Children Are Us Foundation and Caterpillar Philosophy for Children Foundation. We all felt meaningful to participate, we shared what we have and devoted ourselves to the society. After we were fully prepared, we began to work on the website. For most of our teammates, this was a whole new learning experience. With the help of our instructors, we gave up our winter vacation to complete the job. Finally, the whole project was finished by the end of February.
