In 1835, because many aborigines in Beipu often haunted and harassed the residents in Beipu, Li Siye, Jiang Xiuluan, Lin Dexiu, and Zhou Bangzheng fundraised about 12,600 yen to establish Jinguang Fu Mansion. The motivation of establishing the Jinguangfu Mansion was to prevent harassment from the indigenous people and made the mansion as an office for Jiang Xiuluan. In the past, when disputes broke out in Beipu, everyone would choose to go to Jin Guangfu Mansion to hold the deliberation or negotiation. For example: when people had quarrels about occupying or having an ambiguous boundary line of farm lands, they could go to Jin Guangfu mansion to elaborate the whole incident and reconcile. The origin of Jin Guangfu's name is that "Jin" means fortune, "Guang" represents the place name of Guangdong in mainland China, and "Fu" represents the place name of Fujian in mainland China. Jin Guangfu Mansion was where all the historical evolution of Beipu started, and it is also the only mansion surviving in Taiwan at present. This is the best-recommended spot to get to know Beipu.

Next is the main hall, which is a place of worship. The next room is the warehouse for storing things. The walls of the warehouse are used to prevent moisture because this warehouse was used to store some rice in the past. There are some gun holes in Jin Guangfu Mansion.
