Introduction

Almond Mushrooms(Agaricus subrufescens)

Almond mushrooms are also known as blaze mushrooms and Brazilian mushrooms in Chinese, originating from Brazil and Peru. Scientific study shows that people living in those areas have a lower cancer and chronic disease rate, and they often eat almond mushrooms, drawing people’s attention around the world to all sorts of almond mushrooms scientific studies. Almond mushrooms’ appearances resemble little umbrellas; their colors light brown and their fragrance strong. They go by the name of “the Son of the Sun” in Brazilian Pharmacopoeia and “Blaze Mushrooms” is Japan.

Growing Environment

The growing environment required for almond mushrooms is quite unique. In day light, the temperature has to be at 35 Celsius and the temperature has to drop over 10 degrees in night time. In evenings, they need wind and they need special cultivatable soil to grow, making them rare.

Almond mushrooms are rich in dietary fiber, which absorbs cholesterol and excessive fats to prevent and decrease the rate of cardiovascular diseases, relieve vasoconstriction and normalize blood pressure. Moreover, they also abound with polysaccharide, among which "β- D- glucan" is deemed as the main antitumor and immune-system-strengthen substance. It can also help suppress allergic reactions. There are also plentiful amount of vitamins and minerals in them, and they are significant nutrients that help liver to regenerate, boost liver metabolism and reduce the burden on the liver. Therefore, there are many almond mushrooms related nutritional supplements on the markets.
